Algie is the name of the symbolic flying pig that today is an icon of Pink Floyd and its legacy.

In 1976 the group was devising their tenth album, which they wanted to give with a conceptual feel. To do this they would base themselves on the work “ Farm Animal ” by George Orwell. Roger Waters used animals as references to express his thoughts about social inequalities, politics and power groups. That's why the album would eventually be called “Animals.”

SAVE THE BACON ” is the note with which we highlight this protest against injustice.

We use the expression "when pigs fly" to refer to something improbable or impossible. So we couldn't think of a better icon than a flying pig to show us hope and teach us to believe in our possibilities.

Why not?...let's believe that one day this can change, or rather that one day we can make it change. So don't be just another pig. Try to be extraordinary.

A PIG THAT DOESN'T FLY IS JUST AN ORDINARY PIG - SAVE THE BACON
